Having finished our sandwiches…

we took our time making our way down the hillside. Our original plan was to walk along a ‘ridge’ of the mountain on the opposite side of the valley instead we found ourselves fighting some kind of ground shrub like carpet, heading towards another stream heading towards the base of the mountain.

“We were walking on top of ground shrubs, like pillows beneath our feet”

This was not the same stream where we found the rock / funny tree and had a rest, this was a stream the opposite side of a mini ridge on the ascent, both no doubt coming from the bowl lake photo at the end of Part 1.

Before long, we were enticed down to the stream where we saw an awsome array of waterfalls, water pools and rock walls dripping into mini caves.

A Photo of one of the dripping walls. Quite nice i thought…

Another waterfall i liked, this one had a big drop to it and a nice little collection pool at the bottom…

Photo of Duffy and Adam sitting back enjoying themselves. In the meantime i am scaling a slippery embankment in order to get a closer look on how deep the plunge pool is.

It was a nice slow walk back…

Having felt like we had accomplished such a great deal, we really took our time, soaking up the sun and enjoying playing about with the water falls and climbing.

There was no rush, plenty of light left, time was now 4:00pm so we’d only spent 4 hours and had a great time.

Here is a photo of Duffy and Adam when at the waterfall at the end.
