Utterly shocking, protx launch 3D secure checkout system, and yet do not offer full documentation / integration kit.

Basically the story is, for the months leading up to the 1st of August, they were ranting and raving about releasing this 3D secure system for processing payments.

The whole upgrade was one hell of a huge mess, with developers going mad on the forums about this new system.

Why were the developers going nuts ?

Well you see, 2 main things:

1: Firstly, the upgrade was a complete and utter shambles, with payments failing, giving unusual unexpected results. Payment system offline for hours, no support emails answered for days on end, no telephone support. One person posted on the forum that he waited 1.5 hours on hold before being cut off. I myself rung at 8:01am (when they open, as soon as) and was 4th in queue with a 40 min wait, and then only told to email in. Bottom line: PROTX SUPPORT IS ABSOLOUTLY DIABOLICAL

2: The second major.. and i mean MAJOR issue was with the integration itself. Basically protx had only released 2 integration kits, ASP and JSP. Both of which were written by someone straight out of UNI and obviously no real programming knowledge.

Anyway, this left the whole PHP Development community on the protx forums up in arms as Protx had repeadly promised for this integration kit to be released (and indeed if you search the forums you will find the moderators still saying they are going to release a PHP integration kit).

So at the end of the day, we had a brand new system coming out, of which protx offers 0 support to PHP developers. THANKS PROTX !

What does this all mean ?

What it means is Protx absoloutly suck on email support, protx suck on telephone support, i’m sure they just have one female operator who is only a nice voice on the end of the phone, and her job is to tell people to email in.

When protx moaned about increased emails coming in through support, maybe its because they didnt offer the integration kits !
