SA, The final countdown.
Trips and Photos March 6th, 2007So i’ve been slacking !
I admit, i’ve slacked off in the last week on the website updates.
Why? Well i’ve just been lieing in the shade down by the pool in a semi-sleep state, flicking between more reading, and ‘dozing’. . . and i’ve loved it. In some ways its quite good i’m coming back home, as life goes too fast here, and i feel i could easily sleep and read my life away.
Where?
Here is a excellent map i found on http://www.sa-venues.com/.
It does an excellent job of showing clearly where some of the places we go to are.

As you can see, the 3 places i have pointed out are:
- Phinda
- Zinkwazi Beach
- Zimbali
So:
- Phinda
- This is where we went on ’safari’ last year. We had an excellent time and loved it. The accommodation was of the highest class, and only staying there 2 days allowed us to see everything, including lions eating a baby giraffe.
At night we also had barby, its all outdoors and you have to be escorted back to your room incase there’s a lion on the path, which there has been in the past, so the staff tell me, and i believe them.
You can check out where we stayed here: http://www.phinda.com/ and check out the Phinda image gallery here: http://www.phinda.com/gallery/default.aspx - we stayed at the ‘rock lodge’. - Zinkwazi Beach
- We recently went there for the first time only 2-3 days ago and it was excellent. A quiet hidden away beach. See photos below.
- Zimbali
- This is where we are staying. Here is the Zimbali website: http://www.zimbali.co.za/.
Zimbali House
Here is another photo of the house, all zimbali houses are in this style:
Zinkwazi Beach
Here are few photos of Chloe and myself on the beach

The Beach itself

A Couple of ‘Drivers Roads’ These we just wide, smooth roads, lined with beautiful tree’s, and lovely sweeping corners.

BUGS BUGS BUGS !
These ones sting alot worse than a bee or wasp !

This is his sister

This one was on the mirror in the bathroom (hence he is reflected)

This last one is not very clear as i had to zoom in alot on the photo, he is a tiny tiny bug i foun on the beach, i couldn’t get any photos of the crabs as they kept running away, i refused to chase them as they obviously didn’t want any human contact.
